Shade Providing Trees

A shade tree is a larger tree with a spreading canopy and crown whose primary purpose is to provide shade, where it provides shelter from sunlight especially in the heat of the summer.

Blue Grass recommends trying Ash, Aspens, Birch, Elms, Linden, Maple, Oak, Ornamental Crabapple, Spruce and Willow.
