About Blue Grass
Blue Grass Nursery, Sod & Garden Centre in Rocky View County is a family-owned business deeply rooted in Alberta. Starting as a modest sod farm in Red Deer in 1997, Blue Grass expanded from its original company founded in Manitoba in 1950, which moved to Alberta in 1969 to supply sod for Calgary Housing Authority projects.
Today, Blue Grass has grown into a lush haven of plants and décor, offering everything you need for home, garden, and landscaping. During the holiday season, the store transforms into a festive wonderland of seasonal decor!
Blue Grass Ltd. has a sister company, Blue Grass Sod Farms, based in Red Deer with a distribution depot in Edmonton, allowing it to continue flourishing. With a commitment to excellent service and quality plant products, Blue Grass has become one of Alberta’s largest tree and sod producers, as well as a leader in landscape construction and snow and ice management.
