Terms of Service/Return policy

Product Guarantees & Warranties

  • Blue Grass guarantees that stock purchased will be true to type and in good condition when it leaves our nursery.
  • We give no warranty, expressed or implied as to the productivity, performance or results secured from transplanting of any nursery stock that are purchased, as these factors are out of our control.
  • Discounted material is not guaranteed. Blue Grass will not be held liable for any labour or charges involved in replacing material.
  • There are no returns or exchanges on any living plants such as trees, shrubs, sod, annuals, perennials, or tropicals.


Sod is only guaranteed if properly installed and maintained.  Refer to Installation and Maintenance Guide. Sod is of premium quality and guaranteed to be as weed free as possible at time of purchase.

Sod is not guaranteed if left standing for more than 24 hours.

Trees & Shrubs

All our regular priced trees and shrubs are guaranteed one year from the date of purchase if properly maintained. Refer to our Installation and Maintenance Guide. This excludes die-back and damaged branch material that can be pruned out, leaving a viable plant.

Warranty does not include services such as planting, delivery, etc. All costs incurred in replacing plant material are at the sole cost of the purchaser.

Potted Trees and Shrubs that have not survived can be returned with original receipt for a replacement. Warranty returns are valid for replacement only, of same value (no cash refunds).

Caliper trees, a warranty claim must be filed before end of one year warranty. Starting in June a qualified tree expert will come and view the tree to verify warranty.


Perennials re guaranteed if properly maintained until the end of the season (Sept 30th) on regular priced items.

Annuals & Seasonal Plants:

Annuals and Seasonal Plants are not guaranteed.

Indoor Plants (Tropical):

Warrantied for 30 days from date of purchase against insects and disease. There is no warranty on flowering tropical or seasonal plants.

Rainbow Play Systems:

Covered by detailed guaranties and warranties. Refer to the current Rainbow catalogue for all policies.

Bulk Products:

Product accuracy is the responsibility of the purchaser. Products in sample bins may vary from actual products in bulk bins.

Check product before it is dumped to ensure it is correct.

Pricing Policy:

  • Original receipt must be provided for any claims, refunds or returns.
  • All prices are subject to change without notice.
  • All products are subject to delivery charges.
  • All merchandise remains the property of Blue Grass until paid in full.
  • All products may not be available in all sizes.

Hard Goods Return Policy:

  • Original receipt must be provided for any claims, refunds or returns.
  • May be returned within 10 days of purchase
  • Any returns made after 10 days will be issued an in-store credit.
  • Hard goods purchased at discounted price are final sale.
  • Return of hard goods purchased from Red Deer location will be issued an in-store credit (no cash refunds).
  • Chemical & Fertilizer returns are strictly prohibited by law.
  • Pallet returns will be credited by original method of payment.
