Return Policy



Original sales receipt MUST accompany all returns, no exceptions.

Eligible refunds will be returned to the original method of payment (credit card, debit card, cash). Purchases made with a gift card or store credit will be refunded as a store credit.

Advertised or posted sales will not be applied to products outside of sales dates, no exceptions.

Blue Grass reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of merchandise. Blue Grass reserves the right to request valid identification for any return transaction.

Claims for items delivered damaged or missing must be made within 24 hours from the date of delivery.

Products for delivery are subject to additional delivery charges and fees.

Products returned to a different location than where purchased, will be issued an in-store credit following the above criteria.

Blue Grass does not transfer stock between store locations.

In-store Hardgoods:

Hard Goods can be returned or exchanged within 15 days of the date of purchase, accompanied by a receipt. Items and packaging must be in their original state and deemed resalable by Blue Grass.

No returns, or refunds on Chemicals, Fertilizers, Pesticides or Biological Controls.

Any products discounted beyond 10% of the regular price are deemed final sale and are not refundable.

Gift Cards are final sale, no refunds and non-returnable. Cards will not be replaced if altered, lost, stolen or destroyed. Cards do not expire and are valid until redeemed.

No returns on Seasonal Products within 15 days of an event (any recognized season or holiday).

In-store Live goods:

Blue Grass is a Clean Plants Certified Nursery, as such, no returns, exchanges or refunds on plants will be permissible once the plant leaves Blue Grass property.

Sod is a perishable item and cannot be returned. If damaged upon receipt of the product, contact Blue Grass within 24 hours.

Warranties, replacements and claims of any products or projects, purchased or completed by a contractor become the sole responsibility of the contractor.


Online orders policy:

Products ordered online are guaranteed to be accurate to description and of the highest quality at the time of shipping. All items are expertly selected by a Blue Grass employee.

Substitutes will be made to orders only when authorized by the customer. The customer must fill out the required field during the check-out process to notify Blue Grass. When substitutes are approved, refunds and exchanges will not be given on those products.

Online orders cannot be modified once placed.

Claims for items delivered damaged or missing must be made within 24 hours from the date of delivery.

Local pick-up orders must be picked up within 48 hours of notification via email. No refunds will be given on orders not picked up within 48 hours.

Caliper trees will have an additional dolly charge for moving into location unless accessible by crane truck. To have a tree planted you must have an Alberta-1 call report that is no more than 30 days old.

Product pictures displayed online may not fully represent or be exactly the same as the product you receive.

Online orders will be refunded by the original method of payment (credit card or Paypal).

Online orders must be returned, when applicable,  to the store for a refund, exchange or credit.

All in-store policies apply to online purchases.


Online delivery order policy:

Delivery orders containing Garden Centre or live materials will be placed on your front step/porch. No signature is required, the homeowner does not need to be present to receive the order.

Please note that your delivery will be placed in the safest area possible.

Live product deliveries may be delayed due to inclement weather, at Blue Grass’ discretion.

For Apartment and Condominiums, please note you must be home to receive the product. Instructions must be included in your order details.


Held products policy:

Products can be held for a maximum of 14 days with full payment and items will be non-refundable.

Products not picked up or delivered within 14 days, will be put back into stock and charged a restocking fee of $50 or 20% of the order value, whichever is greater.

Caliper trees (40mm plus), can be held with a 50% non-refundable deposit for up to 30 days at no charge, after 30 days restocking fees will apply.


Planting Service:

An AB-1 call must be completed prior to a tree being delivered and planted. The AB-1 report must be valid, within 30 days of the planting date. Reports can be emailed to [email protected].

Planting and delivery will not be officially scheduled until the AB-1 report has been received.




Warranty applies to plants purchased at regular price (no more than 10% off). Does not apply to the sale or discounted products or plants.

Plants damaged by animal, pest, mechanical, weather or other unforeseeable acts of nature are not eligible for warranty. Also, plants grown in raised gardens or containers are not eligible for a warranty.

Plants deemed by Blue Grass to be improperly planted, maintained or cared for will not be eligible for warranty. Dieback or branch damage that can be removed leaving a viable plant will not be eligible for warranty.

The following are not sold with any warranty or guarantee: flowering indoor or seasonal plants, air plants, bonsai, orchids, tea roses, bulbs, roots, cedars, dwarf Alberta Spruce and some other plants as noted on the invoice.

Warrantied plants are given a one-time replacement with no warranty. No refunds will be given.

Services like delivery and planting are not covered by warranty. All costs incurred in replacing plant material are at the sole cost of the purchaser.

Any warranty claims must be filed with Blue Grass before the warranty period ends. No plant material will be replaced prior to June 15th.

Sod: 1 year from date of purchase. Warranty void if the product is left standing for more than 24 hours.

Trees, Shrubs & Evergreens: 1 year from date of purchase (unless otherwise noted on the invoice).

Perennials & Vines: until September 30th of the year of purchase

Annuals: No warranty (bedding plants, hanging baskets, planters, seasonal)

Tropicals (indoor plants): 30 days for pest and disease only. Does not cover improper care or death.

Seasonal Plants: No warranty (any recognized season or holiday).

Event Tickets Terms and Conditions


Thank you for your interest in participating in an event either hosted, sponsored, or participated in by Blue Grass Garden Centres. Before you proceed to purchase or obtain tickets, we strongly recommend you go through the following event ticketing terms and conditions:

In this section, words like ‘holder’, ‘bearer’, and ‘purchaser’ will refer to you – the person who will buy the tickets to an event either hosted, sponsored, or participated in by Blue Grass Garden Centres. On the other hand, ‘our’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘issuer’, ‘provider’, and similar terms will indicate the organizers of such events including Blue Grass Garden Centres.

By opting to purchase, allocate, or possess tickets to an event either hosted, sponsored, or participated in by Blue Grass Garden Centres, you automatically agree to our terms of use. If you have problems with any of the clauses listed below or do not agree with the risk allocations mentioned here, please do not purchase tickets or try to enter the event venue or premises.

Please note that Blue Grass Garden Centres reserves the right to make changes, revisions, and amendments, or add/remove sections from this set of terms and conditions – without any prior notifications to you. Such changes will be duly reflected on the website of the organizer. These changes will relate back to the date of purchase of event tickets purchased through Blue Grass Garden Centres.

The price of one event ticket is listed on each individual event page. This figure is non-negotiable.

The ticket you purchase represents a revocable license for you to access the location listed on the event page only on the corresponding event date when the event is scheduled to be hosted. The license includes the revocable right to attend the event. This license can be revoked at any time by the issuer at its sole discretion, without any prior notifications or compensation options. If the license is revoked, you will not be granted entry to the venue.

The bearer has to assume full responsibility for the event tickets, once (s)he receives it. Blue Grass and its affiliates have no liabilities – financial, legal, or otherwise – in case the delivered tickets are stolen, lost, damaged, destroyed, or rendered unusable in any other way.

Kindly note that bluegrassnursery.com is the sole authorized source for purchasing Blue Grass event tickets. If you obtain your ticket(s) from any other unauthorized source, you take on the risk of those tickets turning out to be counterfeit or reported to be stolen. The issuer has the right to dishonour such stolen/counterfeit tickets and declares them void.

The event tickets delivered to you are not meant to be used for illegal reselling, copying, reproducing, or misrepresenting in any form. You cannot use the ticket(s) for any promotional/advertising purposes either (including sweepstakes and competitions) without our prior approval. Any proven record of such activities will result in immediate seizure and cancellation of your ticket(s).

Please note that event tickets cannot be redeemed against cash, credits, or any other benefits.

Blue Grass has the right to investigate if there has been any violation of the Event Ticket terms and conditions. In case of any conflicts, the decision of Blue Grass will be deemed final (i.e., the issuer will remain the final arbiter in cases of disputes).

The event service will be deemed to have been delivered in its entirety as soon as the event starts on the date publicized. From that point on, no refund requests will be entertained. If you are not able to access any particular section(s) of the event venue due to delays, Government regulations and bylaws, organizer policies, weather-related problems, emergencies, venue shutdown/evacuation, or any other reason, you will not be eligible for any refunds or future credits.

If the event is canceled in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances, Blue Grass has the sole and absolute right to:

i) reschedule the event, or
ii) issue a partial/full refund, or
iii) not issue any refunds.

*** Please note that the decision of the issuer in such cases will be deemed final and binding.

If the event is canceled due to any factors or causes not in the control of the issuer, the latter will offer a partial or full refund, postpone the event, or provide a comparable ‘make good’ option. These factors will be inclusive of, but not limited to, natural disasters, Government announcements, strikes, delays in production, and the like. Once again, the decision of Blue Grass will be considered final.

If the event has to be rescheduled to another date, you will not be eligible for any refunds. In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value/printed value of the ticket(s). The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges.

Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, have to be borne by the purchaser. Blue Grass cannot be, in any way, held liable for that.

All ticket sales are deemed as FINAL TRANSACTIONS. There will be no ticket returns/exchanges/cancellations unless at the sole discretion of Blue Grass Garden Centres.

Each event is a ‘rain or shine’ event. By purchasing the event tickets, you automatically confirm that you/the attendee(s) are of the ‘minimum age’ or older, at the time of buying the ticket(s) or have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to attend.

If it is proven beyond doubt at the venue that an attendee is below the ‘minimum age’ to consent on their own and is without the consent of their parent or legal guardian, (s)he will not be granted entry to the event. No refunds, full or partial, will be issued either.

At the time of entering the event venue, you are required to produce the ticket and maybe asked to present a valid identification document (ID). By presenting an ID, you confirm that all details present on it are accurate and updated.

By purchasing event tickets and presenting the same at the venue, you give your consent to Blue Grass to collect certain information about yourself (name, picture, date of birth, gender, address, etc.) for verification and storage.

You hereby agree to forego all types of surcharge claims – full or in part – and all claims & entitlements related to it.

Blue Grass does not take any responsibility for personal/financial damages caused to you at the venue or for any items lost/stolen/misplaced at the venue. Financial reimbursement claims on these counts will not be entertained.

Any event organized, hosted, or sponsored by Blue Grass follows a common ‘zero-tolerance policy’ towards unauthorized drug usage or carrying at the venue, AND towards any type of behaviour/actions that can be interpreted as lewd or obscene. If you are found in possession of prohibited items at an event and/or if you indulge in any objectionable action, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately. Your event ticket(s) will become void from that point on.

Please note that you purchase event tickets of your own free will. As such, you do not have the right to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute on the provider of the credit card/debit card that had been used for the transaction. Further refund/return/cancellation requests will not be entertained either.

In all cases of disputes between the ticket-bearer and the ticket-issuer, the decision of the latter will be deemed final. In case a dispute cannot be resolved, the help of an independent third-party arbiter will be sought.
