Latin Name: Celosia cristata ‘Armour’

The Celosia ‘Cristata Armour’ is a striking crested celosia, also known as cockscomb, prized for its bold, brain-like flower heads and vibrant colors. This compact annual grows 10–12 inches (25–30 cm) tall, making it ideal for borders, containers, and mass plantings.

‘Armour’ produces large, wavy, fan-shaped blooms in fiery shades of red, yellow, orange, and pink, with a texture resembling coral. Its velvety, flame-colored plumes retain their intensity from summer to frost, even when dried for arrangements.

Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it’s heat- and drought-tolerant, requiring minimal care. The flowers attract butterflies but resist deer and rabbits.

Perfect for adding drama to gardens or autumn décor, it pairs well with zinnias, marigolds, or ornamental grasses.
