Powderface Willow (Salix commutata ‘Powderface’) is a dense, attractive, upright shrub prized for its striking powder blue foliage that adds a cool, silvery tone to the landscape. This Wolf Willow cultivar features small catkins in late summer that persist on hairy grey branches throughout winter, providing extended seasonal interest. Prairie hardy and drought-tolerant, this willow is an excellent choice for challenging northern gardens.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a dense, upright, rounded growth habit. It is a moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 40 – 48 inches in both height and spread.
