Polar Jewel Haskap Berry (Lonicera caerulea kamtschatica ‘Polar Jewel’) is a compact shrub prized for its large, sweet, dark blue berries that ripen in early summer, making them excellent for fresh eating, preserves, and baking. In spring, white blooms on attractive pink stems add ornamental value to this productive fruit shrub. For optimal fruit production, two different haskap varieties are required for cross-pollination, for best production cross pollinate with Indigo Gem.

This variety exhibits a compact, rounded, bushy growth habit. It is a moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 4 – 5 feet in both height and spread.
