Overview & Description

Fire Light® Hydrangea (Hydrangea pan. ‘SMHPFL’ PP25135) is a spectacular panicle hydrangea prized for its massive, 30-40 cm bright white bloom clusters that appear from early to late summer. The large flowers mature to pink and then to rich red, often displaying all three colours simultaneously on the same plant for a breathtaking multi-tonal effect. This reliable bloomer produces flowers on strong, woody stems, making it an excellent choice for cut flower arrangements.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits an upright, vigorous, rounded growth habit. It is a moderate to fast-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 5 – 6 feet in both height and spread.

Additional Notes

It blooms from early summer through fall on new wood. Hardy to Zone 3, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. An outstanding choice for hedges, screens, borders, mass plantings, and cut flower gardens where massive white-to-pink-to-red blooms, strong stems, and reliable performance are desired.
