Calico Kitty™ Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Auntie B’ PPAF) is a compact, colorful deciduous shrub prized for its striking lobed foliage that emerges copper and matures to rich purple-red. In late spring, masses of pink blooms appear along the branches, creating a beautiful contrast against the dark leaves, followed by decorative red seed heads that extend seasonal interest. This versatile variety is well-suited for borders, specimens, or hedging.

This variety exhibits a compact, upright, rounded growth habit. It is a moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 4 – 5 feet in height with a spread of 36 – 48 inches.

It blooms in late spring. Hardy to Zone 3, it is drought-tolerant once established and prefers well-drained soil.
