Overview & Description
Autumn Bliss Raspberry (Rubus idaeus ‘Autumn Bliss’) is a primocane-fruiting, self-pollinating raspberry prized for its very sweet fruit that begins ripening in mid-to-late summer and continues until fall. White summer blossoms appear on canes with few spines or thorns, making harvesting easier and more comfortable. The delicious berries are excellent for jellies, jams, and fresh eating, offering a long season of homegrown flavour.
Growth & Size
This variety exhibits an upright, bushy, cane-growing growth habit. It is a fast-growing plant, typically reaching a mature size of about 4 – 5 feet in height with a spread of 36 inches.
Additional Notes
It blooms in summer, with fruit ripening from mid-to-late summer through fall. Hardy to Zone 3, it is self-pollinating, requiring no additional plants for fruit production. As a primocane type, it fruits on first-year canes; prune the entire plant to the ground in late fall before winter for best results. An outstanding choice for home orchards, edible landscapes, and fresh eating where very sweet, late-season raspberries and thornless-friendly canes are desired.
