Overview & Description
The William Baffin Rose (Rosa ‘William Baffin’) is a standout, hardy climbing rose from the Canadian Explorer Series. It is renowned for its showy clusters of semi-double, deep pink blooms with prominent golden stamens. The vibrant flowers appear in profusion against a backdrop of glossy, dark green, exceptionally disease-resistant foliage.
Growth & Size
This variety exhibits a vigorous, pillar-type climbing growth habit. It forms a large, robust climber, typically reaching a mature size of about 2.5 to 3 meters (8 to 10 feet) in height with a spread of 1.8 to 2 meters (6 to 7 feet), capable of climbing taller with support.
Additional Notes
It blooms continuously from early summer through fall. Exceptionally cold-hardy and disease-resistant, it is a low-maintenance, reliable performer for northern climates. Its vigorous, upright form makes it an ideal choice for training on trellises, fences, arbors, and walls, or for use as a large, free-standing flowering pillar shrub where vertical colour is desired.
