Tannenbaum Mugo Pine (Pinus mugo ‘Tannenbaum’) is a single-trunk selection of Mugo Pine prized for its long, emerald green needles with a distinctive grey-blue tint that hold their colour beautifully over the winter months. This compact, uniform, upright, low-maintenance tree offers a classic Christmas tree silhouette with the rugged hardiness of Mugo Pine. Its tidy, well-behaved form adapts well to many environmental changes.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a compact, uniform, upright, pyramidal growth habit with a single trunk. It is a slow-growing conifer, typically reaching a mature size of about 10 – 12 feet in height with a spread of 5 – 6 feet.

Additional Notes

It does not have showy flowers. Hardy to Zone 2, it is drought tolerant once established and prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil. Adapts to many environmental changes.
