Latin Name: Antirrhinum majus ‘Rocket’
The Snapdragon ‘Tall Rocket’ is a stately, classic annual celebrated for its towering flower spikes and exceptional cut-flower performance. Reaching 30–36 inches (75–90 cm) tall, it’s ideal for back of borders, cutting gardens, and cottage-style landscapes.
This heirloom-type cultivar produces long, dense spikes of 1-inch (2.5 cm) blooms in vibrant shades of pink, red, yellow, white, and purple, with the signature “snapping” dragon shape. Flowers open progressively from bottom to top, providing weeks of color from early summer to frost.
Thrives in full sun and rich, well-draining soil. While cool-weather loving, it tolerates mild summer heat if watered consistently. Staking may be needed in windy areas.
Perfect for dramatic vertical accents, pair with peonies, delphiniums, or ornamental grasses.
