Overview & Description
Olds College Centennial Rose (Rosa ‘Olds College’) is a charming, compact shrub rose prized for its fully double, apricot-peach blooms that appear all summer long atop a small mound of glossy, dark green foliage. The soft, warm-colored flowers create a continuous, eye-catching display from late spring through fall. This versatile variety is well-suited for smaller shrub beds, hedging, or borders, making it an excellent choice for gardens with limited space.
Growth & Size
This variety exhibits a compact, mounding, low-growing growth habit. It is a moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 18 – 24 inches in height with a spread of 24 – 36 inches.
Additional Notes
It blooms continuously from late spring through fall. Hardy to Zone 3, it blooms on new wood, so prune first thing in spring if required to shape or rejuvenate. It prefers moist, well-drained soil. An outstanding choice for smaller shrub beds, borders, hedging, foundation plantings, and where double apricot-peach blooms, glossy foliage, and compact performance are desired.
