The Norfolk Island pine (Araucaria heterophylla) is an evergreen conifer native to Norfolk Island in the South Pacific. Despite its name, it is not a true pine but belongs to the ancient Araucariaceae family. In its natural habitat, it can reach over 60 meters tall, with a straight trunk and symmetrical, tiered branches forming a triangular shape. As a popular ornamental and indoor plant, it is admired for its soft, needle-like foliage and graceful appearance. Indoors, it grows slowly, making it suitable as a decorative houseplant or even a living holiday tree. It thrives in bright, indirect light and moderate humidity.
