What’s Growing On at Blue Grass

Balzac Billy kicked off this month with a prediction of an early spring at our annual Groundhog Day Pancake Breakfast. While the temperatures have been mild in the Calgary area, we all know anything can happen over the next few weeks. As the countdown to spring is well under way, many of you have popped by the Greenhouse and Garden Centre to take all sorts of houseplants home and get a look at our new spring décor. Indoor plants continue to be enjoying a boom in popularity and whether it’s a single pot of succulents or a corner filled with a lush oasis of plants, our shoppers can’t seem to get enough, and we love it!

Seeds and all things seed-starting and for growing on are fully in stock and many of you are eager to get growing! Starting plants from seed is one of the most rewarding activities we do in gardening, but it can also be the most frustrating. Knowing what type of seed, when to seed and how to care for seedlings are all important factors in seeding success.
