Overview & Description

The Tinkerbelleā„¢ Lilac (Syringa ‘Bailbelle’ P.P.12294) is a charming, compact shrub from the Fairytaleā„¢ Series, celebrated for its rounded, non-suckering growth habit and small, dark green leaves. In late spring, it produces wine-red buds that open into delicate, single pink flowers with a delightful spicy fragrance, adding both visual and sensory appeal to your garden.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a dense, multi-stemmed, rounded form with a relatively fine texture. It is a slow-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 5 to 6 feet in height with a spread of 4 to 6 feet. Under ideal conditions, it can be expected to live for approximately 30 years.

Additional Notes

It blooms in late spring, and the flowers are excellent for cutting. This low-maintenance shrub thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerates urban pollution, and is adaptable to various soil types. It attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds, but is resistant to deer. It should be pruned immediately after flowering. Perfect for foundation plantings, small gardens, borders, or as a fragrant focal point.
