Latin Name: Salvia splendens ‘Vista’

The Salvia ‘Vista’ is a showy, compact annual celebrated for its large, vivid flower spikes and long-lasting color. Growing 10–14 inches (25–35 cm) tall, it’s perfect for containers, borders, and mass plantings.

This improved S. splendens hybrid produces bold, 8–10 inch (20–25 cm) flower spikes in vibrant shades of red, purple, white, and bicolors, blooming spring to frost. Its dense, bushy habit and glossy foliage offer a polished look with minimal maintenance.

Thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil, with better heat tolerance than traditional salvias. Drought-resistant once established, it attracts hummingbirds while deterring deer and rabbits.

Ideal for urban gardens or patio displays, pair with silver dusty miller, yellow marigolds, or blue lobelia for eye-catching contrast.
