Latin Name: Salvia farinacea ‘Victoria’

The Salvia ‘Victoria’ is a striking, drought-tolerant perennial (often grown as an annual) prized for its deep blue-purple spikes and low-maintenance nature. Growing 18–24 inches (45–60 cm) tall, it’s ideal for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator landscapes.

This cultivar produces dense, 6–8 inch (15–20 cm) flower spikes in rich violet-blue, with a silvery calyx that adds shimmer. Blooming early summer to frost, it attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds while resisting deer and drought.

Thrives in full sun and well-draining, even poor soil, excelling in heat and humidity. Hardy in USDA zones 7–10, it may overwinter in mild climates. Self-cleaning and rarely needs deadheading.

Perfect for mass plantings or xeriscapes, pair with yellow coreopsis, white gaura, or red penstemon for bold contrast.
