Overview & Description

The Quick Fire Hydrangea (Hydrangea pan. ‘Bulk’ PP16812) from Proven Winners is a fast-growing, early-blooming shrub that brings long-lasting beauty to any garden. Its striking, large conical flowers emerge pure white in early summer. As the season progresses, they gradually transition through soft pink to a rich, deep rosy-red by fall, creating a dynamic, months-long display. It has deep burgundy-red stems and green foliage.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits an upright, spreading growth habit. It is a medium-sized shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 6 to 10 feet in height with a similar spread. It grows at a medium rate and can live for 40 years or more under ideal conditions.

Additional Notes

It blooms from early summer through fall, with flowers excellent for cutting. Hardy to Zone 3-8, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and is adaptable to a wide range of well-drained soils. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution, deer-resistant, and attracts pollinators. It blooms on new wood and is best pruned in spring. An outstanding choice for borders, mass plantings, hedges, or as a stunning focal point where long-lasting, vibrant colour and easy-care nature are desired.
