Latin Name: Tagetes patula ‘Durango’
The Marigold ‘Semi-Dwarf Double Durango’ is a floriferous, mid-sized annual prized for its large, fully double blooms and vigorous growth. Reaching 12–14 inches (30–35 cm) tall, it bridges the gap between dwarf and tall varieties, ideal for beds, containers, and mass plantings.
This F1 hybrid produces 3–4 inch (7–10 cm) carnation-like flowers in vibrant shades of yellow, orange, red, and bicolors, with uniform, long-lasting blooms from early summer to frost. Its compact, bushy habit requires no staking, and the aromatic foliage naturally repels nematodes and deer.
Thrives in full sun and average, well-draining soil, with excellent heat and rain tolerance. A top performer in the Durango series, bred for disease resistance and early flowering.
Perfect for high-impact color, pair with purple fountain grass, blue ageratum, or white petunias.
