Latin Name: Lysimachia nummularia ‘Goldilocks’

Creeping Jenny, is a vigorous, trailing perennial prized for its chartreuse-gold foliage and ground-covering habit. Growing 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) tall with spreads up to 3 feet (90 cm), it’s ideal for containers, hanging baskets, and moist garden edges.

This cultivar features rounded, coin-shaped leaves in bright golden-yellow, with small yellow cup-shaped flowers in summer. Unlike the green wild type, ‘Goldilocks’ offers year-round color, especially in partial shade.

Thrives in moist, well-draining soil and sun to partial shade (full sun intensifies color). Tolerates wet conditions, making it perfect for pond borders or rain gardens, but can be invasive if unchecked.

Pair with purple lobelia, blue hostas, or dark-leaved heucheras for striking contrast.

Key Features:

  • Foliage: Evergreen (mild climates), neon yellow

  • Flowers: Tiny, yellow (summer)

  • Hardiness: Zones 3–9

  • Uses: Spiller, erosion control, water gardens
