Overview & Description

Little Lady Lilac (Syringa x ‘Jeflady’ PP30331) is a compact, very hardy deciduous shrub prized for its fragrant, light purple blooms that appear in late spring. Dark pink buds emerge and open to reveal the delicate flowers, beautifully highlighted by dark green foliage. This exceptional variety reaches only about half the size of the popular Miss Kim lilac, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens and space-conscious landscapes.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a compact, rounded, bushy growth habit. It is a slow to moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 4 – 5 feet in height with a spread of 36 – 48 inches.

Additional Notes

It blooms in late spring. Hardy to Zone 3, it is very hardy and drought tolerant once established, preferring moist, well-drained soil. An outstanding choice for borders, mass plantings, foundation plantings, small gardens, and fragrance gardens where compact size, fragrant light purple blooms, and excellent hardiness are desired.
