Latin Name: Diascia hybrida ‘Trinity Sunset’

The Diascia ‘Trinity Sunset’ is a vibrant, trailing plant (often grown as an annual) prized for its warm-toned blooms and extended flowering season. Growing 10–12 inches (25–30 cm) tall with spreads up to 24 inches (60 cm), it’s ideal for hanging baskets, containers, and ground cover.

This eye-catching hybrid produces 0.75-inch (2 cm) flowers in a sunset-inspired palette of peach, apricot, and soft pink, with delicate yellow throats. Blooms spring to frost atop airy, bright green foliage, attracting bees and butterflies.

Thrives in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining soil. Heat-tolerant but benefits from afternoon shade in hot climates. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance.

Perfect for warm-toned combos, pair with purple verbena, blue scaevola, or silver artemisia.

  • Flowers: Two-spurred, lightly honey-scented

  • Foliage: Fine-textured, semi-trailing

  • Hardiness: Annual (perennial in zones 8–10)
