Description
Latin Name: Prunus ‘Crimson Passion’
A small prairie hardy cherry with glossy dark green leaves that turn yellow in the fall. Clusters of fragrant flowers along branches in the spring followed by dark red cherries with red flesh. High sugar content makes the fruit excellent for fresh eating, juice, desserts, pies, and processing. Self-pollinating variety, fruit ripens in mid-August, part of the Romance series developed at the University of Saskatchewan.
