Latin Name: Celosia argentea ‘Kelos’

The Celosia ‘Kelos’ is a dramatic, plume-type annual prized for its vibrant, feathery flower spikes and upright habit. Growing 16–24 inches (40–60 cm) tall, it’s ideal for cut flower gardens, borders, and containers.

This F1 hybrid series produces 6–10 inch (15–25 cm) dense, velvety plumes in bold shades of fiery red, bright pink, sunny yellow, and deep purple, blooming early summer to frost. Its sturdy stems resist lodging, making it perfect for bouquets (lasts 2+ weeks cut).

Thrives in full sun and well-draining, fertile soil. Heat- and drought-tolerant, but benefits from regular watering for maximum blooms. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance.

Perfect for high-impact displays, pair with blue salvia, zinnias, or ornamental grasses.

Key Features:

  • Flowers: Long-lasting, fade-resistant

  • Foliage: Green or bronze (depending on cultivar)

  • Hardiness: Annual

  • Uses: Cut/dried flowers, pollinator gardens.
