Overview & Description

Blue Muffin® Arrowwood Viburnum (Viburnum dentatum ‘Christom’) is a compact, oval, upright deciduous shrub prized for its showy fruit and multi-season appeal. Clusters of dainty white blooms in late spring mature into small, dark blue berries that persist and attract birds. The attractive, glossy, serrated foliage turns stunning shades of bright yellow, orange, and red in autumn, creating a vibrant fall display.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits an oval, upright, rounded growth habit. It is a moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 6.5 feet in both height and spread.

Additional Notes

It blooms in late spring. Hardy to Zone 3, it is adaptable to a variety of soil types and conditions, drought tolerant once established, and prefers moist, well-drained soil. An outstanding choice for hedges, borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, wildlife gardens, and fall colour displays where white spring blooms, dark blue berries, and vibrant autumn foliage are desired.
