Overview & Description

The Endless Summer Bloomstruck Bigleaf Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla ‘P11HM-11’) is a remarkable, reblooming deciduous shrub known for its continuous flowering and stunning color-changing blooms. Depending on soil pH, its large, showy mophead flowers range from vibrant deep pink in alkaline soils to rich violet-blue in acidic soils. It features strong red-purple stems and serrated dark green leaves with red veins and red petioles that turn attractive burgundy-red in fall. This ever-blooming variety produces flowers from early summer through fall on both old and new wood, ensuring a long-lasting display.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a compact, rounded, and multi-stemmed growth habit. It forms a tidy, well-proportioned shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 3 to 4 feet in height with a spread of 4 to 5 feet. It grows at a fast rate and can live for approximately 20 years under ideal conditions.

Additional Notes

It blooms from early summer through early fall, with flowers excellent for cutting. Renowned for above-average tolerance to powdery mildew and good disease resistance, it is low-maintenance and thrives in partial shade with moist, well-drained soil. It attracts butterflies and pollinators and is suitable for mass plantings, borders, foundation plantings, and hedges. Hardy in Zones 4-9.
