Alfredo American cranberry performs best in well-drained soil and with enough room to grow. It does not compete well with weeds and grass, so keep planting area clean.
Apply mulch to help with weed control, maintain moisture and provide even soil temperatures.
Water at least once a week and more in dry conditions. Apply a nitrogen fertilizer or a layer of compost if leaf colour fades or yellows, too much nitrogen may decrease fruit production.
Prune to maintain overall shape and to keep tidy, in spring after flowers fade.
